I — THE HISTORY

Before oil, the pearl

For four thousand years — from Dilmun’s traders to the dhow fleets of the 1920s — Bahrain’s wealth rose from its oyster beds, prized from Baghdad to Paris.

II — THE DESIGN

A sail, an oyster, a spring

A single pearl set in the curve of a dhow’s sail; the reverse carries the island in a rope-work rim. Each rim is serial-engraved, № 0001–2026.

III — THE STRIKE

Struck twice, checked twice

Double-struck with polished dies, graded PF70 before sealing, rested in Bahraini teak. The dies retire on the last reservation.
